牙醫學系碩博士班，成立於1993年，前身為口腔復健醫學研究所，係以培養牙醫學相關領域之研究與醫療專精人才為目的，並為有志之牙醫師，在國內提供一個研究進修與發展的地 方。

Dentistry Postgraduate Faculty – Dentistry Master’s Degree, Dentistry Doctorate Degree

     DPF, founded in 1993 by transforming from its forerunner Graduate Institute of Oral Rehabilitation, aims at preparing learned professionals in the research and therapeutic areas surrounding dental medicine and also serving as the hub for ambitious dentists to advance their studies and new horizons in densitry.

    成立之初，本著基礎與臨床相輔相成的教學研究方向，將牙醫科學細分為膺復牙醫學、齒顎矯正學、牙周病學、牙髓病學、口腔顎面外科學、兒童牙醫學、咬合暨顳顎障礙學、生醫材料學等多種組別。

     SOH is established with the expectation of upgrading the quality and professional performance of oral hygienists directly, enhancing overall dental care quality in Taiwan indirectly, and especially also serving as the driving force to urge the legislation of qualification and certification laws for the first officially certified oral hygienists to take presence in this nation with established professional status and job specification. Surely this will promote the oral hygiene education level nationwide. Further, the curricular standards will set good models for other colleges seeking for establishment of oral hygiene faculty.

    在研究方面，本研究所整合各科而衍生以口腔生物學、口顎生理、組織形態、膺復與生醫材料為核心的多組研究群，並有專屬研究室， 由學有專精的多位老師相互整合負責，以求整體研究的提昇。

    Ever since the very beginning DPF offers the dentistry disciplines in several specialties, namely prosthodontics, orthodontics, peridontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry, mandible and maxillofacial disorders, biomedical materials, etc. specific expertise so as to promote the research as a whole. In research we derive several research groups concentrating on oral biology, oral and maxillofacial physiology, tissue morphology, proesthodontics, and biomedical materials by integrating various specialties and each group is devised with exclusive research lab. These groups are directed toward mutual integration by instructors with specific expertise so as to promote the research as a whole.

    臨床醫療方面，本研究所與附設醫院牙科部整合，由各組指導老師開設專科臨床課程，提昇各專業分科的臨床醫療技術，以求達到基礎研究與臨床醫學並進的教學目標。

      In clinic therapy, DPF collaborates with TMU Dental Clinic as a whole and each group is provided with specialty clinic course by a specialty instructor seeking for promoting the clinical therapeutic techniques in each specialty. DPF believes that the academic mission of advancing both theoretical research and clinic practice will be attained under this context.
