在完整的口腔醫療服務中，牙體技術專業人員是不可或缺的一環。在日趨專業化的牙科整體發展下，有關牙科補綴物、填充物、美容牙科、精密連接體設計、矯正裝置之設計與製作，實非牙醫師所能獨立勝任。因此，本學系在民國96年經教育部獲准招生，成立以「牙體技術」為導向之人才培訓機構，以期達成建立專業分工之牙科醫療系統，並在結合牙醫學系與口腔衛生學系的課程後，發展出健全且完整之口腔醫學教育，另外也會強化口腔醫療管理與行政的核心課程，期使畢業生在口腔及顏面贋復學領域內除具有學理基礎外，同時亦有豐富的實務經驗。由於本系是北部第一所,同時也是全國第一所由口腔醫學院所設立，以培育牙技專業人才的學系，因此除了可整合院內資源強化學習效果外，並以口腔醫學院的附屬醫院牙科作為學生臨床實習的場所，在理論基礎實習操作及臨床實務等的訓練下，期許北醫牙體技術系成為全國最完善且先進之牙體技術師臨床教學中心。
The ultimate vision of the School of Dental Technology is to
complete the circle of the dental industry which contains
the centered clinical dentistry and the peripheral dental
engineering. To fulfill the goals, three major trends are
initiated and followed:
1. Renovation of the traditional dental laboratory technology.
2. Recognition of the contemporary Dental materials and
Instrumentation, and
3. Innovation of the digital dentistry.
Therefore, the graduates
from this school will be the pioneers for the modern dental
industry and with the title as dental engineer, instead of
dental technician. The name of the school will be also
transformed to School of Dental Engineering in near future
to coincide the essence of the school. |
